Goldfinch Restaurant was founded more
than forty years ago in the heart of Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island.
During all these years, the restaurant never changed hands, and is now one
of only two restaurants belonging to that bygone era.
For those "children" who grew up in
Hong Kong in the 1960s, the thought of Goldfinch Restaurant's specialties --
pepper steak, borscht, and lobster with cheese -- still bring back
memories.
Because Goldfinch Restaurant is so
historical, it has also served as the set of some early films. Wong Kar
Wai's In the Mood for Love
also features this restaurant, recapturing the
beautiful moments of the 1960s.
|
In fact, the decor and furniture
inside Goldfinch Restaurant, even its printed menu,
have not changed since the 1960s.

Goldfinch Restaurant is offering a
special set menu for lovers to celebrate In the Mood for Love. Diners can recapture those
moments of Chow Mo-wan and Su Li-zhen dining in this restaurant, such as
their dipping strips of steak in yellow mustard . . .
